IELTS Writing Task 2: Cách Viết Đoạn Counter Argument Để Tăng Điểm Lập Luận

Khi viết bài IELTS Writing Task 2, các bạn có thể dùng nhiều cách khác nhau để thể hiện lập luận của mình. Đối với dạng bài agree or disagree, các bạn có thể chọn TOTALLY AGREE hoặc TOTALLY DISAGREE để thể hiện quan điểm xuyên suốt cả bài. CÁCH VIẾT ĐOẠN COUNTER ARGUMENT ĐỂ TĂNG ĐIỂM LẬP LUẬN CHO BÀI VIẾT IELTS WRITING TASK 2

Counter argument hay còn gọi là ‘phản đề’. Các bạn có thể sử dụng đoạn counter argument khi muốn phản bác lại đề bài để thể hiện quan điểm sâu sắc và kỹ năng critical thinking. 

Chủ đề mẫu hôm nay: People who decide on a career path early in their lives and keep to it are more likely to have a satisfying working life than those who change jobs frequently. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Với chủ đề này, IPP chọn hướng largely agree với quan điểm như sau: Việc lựa chọn nghề nghiệp sớm sẽ giúp người trẻ có nhiều thành công trong sự nghiệp và mang lại nhiều đóng góp tích cực cho xã hội. Đề bài cho rằng những người có định hướng nghề nghiệp sớm sẽ có công việc suôn sẻ hơn, nhưng điều này chưa chắc đã đúng trong xã hội thay đổi liên tục hiện tại. Khi viết counter argument, các bạn phản bác lại đề bằng quan điểm: việc lựa chọn ngành sớm hiện nay tương đối khó vì thị trường việc làm dễ thay đổi và bị ảnh hưởng bởi công nghệ. Vì vậy, thay đổi công việc cũng là cơ hội để tăng tính thích ứng để tồn tại tốt trong thị trường việc làm ngày nay. 

Cấu trúc bài văn IPP gợi ý như sau: 

• Introduction
• Body paragraph 1: Nêu lý do thứ 1 tại sao việc chọn ngành sớm sẽ giúp con người thành công hơn trong sự nghiệp
• Body paragraph 2: Nêu lý do thứ 1 tại sao việc chọn ngành sớm sẽ giúp con người có nhiều sự thoả mãn trong công việc 
• Body paragraph 3: Counter argument để thể hiện kỹ năng critical thinking
• Conclusion

IELTS WRITING TASK 2 SAMPLE ESSAY:

People who decide on a career path early in their lives and keep to it are more likely to have a satisfying working life than those who change jobs frequently. To what extent do you agree or disagree? 

The issue of whether one should change jobs frequently and persevere with their career since the beginning has ignited a fervent debate. Some believe that those who are consistent at what they choose are more likely to gain job satisfaction than job hoppers. I largely agree with such an opinion since individuals who decide on their career early on have a tendency to accomplish career goals and make invaluable social contributions.

First, proponents of the idea that early career decisions and perseverance foster job satisfaction point to opportunities for promotions and early career success. Early career orientation allows young individuals to determine what skill sets and qualities they should acquire and enroll in suitable training programs Such adequate preparations, coupled with consistency in the industry, can enable these young employees to have more years for more expertise and experience accumulation and trust building among their colleagues than others, thus giving them higher chances of reach promoting executive and managerial roles earlier.   

Apart from receiving top-tier salaries, these individuals also derive pleasure from making profound social impacts. Early career decisions and unparalleled perseverance cultivate in thorough understanding and extensive experience related to their specializations, enabling them to lead, educate, and inspire the next generations. These contributions, transcending monetary values, can bring fulfillment and meaning to life.  

However, the unpredictability and complexities of the job market, heavily influenced by new-born technology and AI involvement, make the notion of figuring out what professions one should stick to for decades seems potentially illusory. Job hopping, though seems quite unstable, hones people’s skills and fosters adaptability through trial-and-error. These qualities would increase people’s employability and versatility to seize new market opportunities quickly to thrive in this ever-changing world, especially in cases when their jobs are replaced by AI.  

In the end, though it is meaningful to experiment new positions and roles in the ever-changing job markets, I find myself leaning towards the idea of persevering on paths that one early sets out following. Such bold decisions guarantee a fulfilling career, offering not just financial rewards but also the chance to create a positive social impact.
