It stands to reason that every enterprise is composed of ordinary workers and managerial ones namely CEOs and executives. In large-scale corporations, it is assumed that such high-ranking employees should be paid more generously than those of lower levels. From a personal perspective, I emphatically concur with this viewpoint owing to these individuals’ greater professional pressure and competence.

To begin with, executive officers deserve their superior position and salaries considering their time and effort dedicated to expertise enhancement. In order to acquire essential working skills and knowledge, CEOs are compelled to undergo years of accumulating experience and qualifications, helping them to be able to manage their companies more systematically and efficiently. This can be clearly exemplified by Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of several giants namely Tesla and SpaceX. Since his profound knowledge of quantum physics and economics plays an integral role in making his conglomerates thrive successfully, Musk’s current tremendous income would be far from questionable.

Another justification for my approval of top executives being paid generous compensation lies in their responsibility and stressful position. Indeed, these individuals have to endure  considerable pressure engendered by their decision-making authority, which can determine the success of the entire project or even the fate of the company. Hence, executives are entitled to higher salary rates as they reflect the weighty responsibility and the pressure that the managers bear. For instance, although the annual compensation and bonus of Larry Page, CEO of Google, is estimated to be over millions of dollars, there is no complaint among the staff since his leadership and significant dedication for the growth of this global corporation has outweighed his reward.

In conclusion, based on their outstanding abilities and heightened responsibilities, managerial positions in large businesses deserve to receive higher wages. Therefore, it is my firm conviction that this policy should be widely adopted for the sake of both individuals and companies’ long-term prosperity.
