The two pie charts show the percentage of the pollutants entering a particular part of the ocean in 1997 and 2007. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Năm 1997:

• Pollutants from air: nearly one third // roughly double of the percentage of litter, farm waste and offshore oil in total
• Marine, industrial waste and domestic sewage: lower // between 17% and 22%

Năm 2007:

• Domestic sewage: increase to 29% // most popular source of pollution together with air-borne pollutants
• Offshore oil: 9% rise
• Marine: plunged to just 17% 
• Litter, farm and industrial waste: decline // constituted less than 10% of the total pollutants.

The given pie charts track the changes in the proportion of contaminants released into a specific part of the ocean in 1997 and 2007. Overall, an upward trend was registered in the figures of domestic sewage and offshore oil, whereas the reverse was true for the remaining pollutants. Furthermore, air-borne pollutants were the main source of ocean pollution in both surveyed years.

Regarding data in 1997, nearly one third of contaminants entering the ocean part was made up of those from air, roughly double of the percentage of litter, farm waste and offshore oil in total, at 13%. Meanwhile, the figures for marine, industrial waste and domestic sewage were relatively lower, hovering between 17% and 22%.

Over the following decade, domestic sewage underwent a substantial increase to 29% in its proportion, becoming the most popular source of pollution together with air-borne pollutants. Similarly but less strikingly, a considerable 9% rise was witnessed in the percentage of offshore oil, while that of marine plunged to just 17%. Litter, farm and industrial waste also experienced notable declines, which constituted merely less than 10% of the total pollutants.
