The graph below shows the number of overseas visitors to three different areas in a European country between 1987 and 2007.
2. Phân tích và chọn số liệu quan trọng
Số lượng du khách nước ngoài thăm bờ biển:
- 1987: 40 thousand visitors
- 1992: dropped slightly to 35 thousand
- 2007: jump to about 75 thousand
Số lượng du khách nước ngoài thăm hồ:
- Start off at 10 thousand
- 2002: leapt to 75 thousand // overtook the coast
- Thereafter: a sudden fall of 25 thousand
Số lượng du khách nước ngoài thăm núi:
- erratic trend
- 2007: end at approximately 35 thousand
- 1992: visitors to the mountains = the lakes

4. Bài mẫu – IELTS Sample Band 8.0+ cho đề thi IELTS Writing Task 1 ngày 07/01/2023
(Introduction) The line graph compares the number of foreign visits to three types of natural landscapes in a particular European country over a 20-year period from 1987 to 2007. (Overview) Overall, while significantly more foreign travelers visited the coast and the mountains, the influx of tourists to the lakes saw a less dramatic rise with wild fluctuations during the timescale. Of all the three, coastal areas were always the most popular choice of visitors, except for the year 2002.
(Body paragraph 01) In terms of visitors to coastal areas and lakes, in 1987, there was a total of 40 thousand visitors to the coast. By 1992, this figure had dropped slightly to 35 thousand before a jump to about 75 thousand was recorded in 2007. Starting off at only 10 thousand, the number of visitors to the lakes leapt to 75 thousand in 2002 when the lakes overtook the coast in terms of popularity, followed by a sudden fall of 25 thousand thereafter.
(Body paragraph 02) Regarding travelers to mountains, experiencing an erratic trend, the number of visitors to these areas fluctuated wildly before ending at approximately 35 thousand in 2007. It is noticeable that in 1992, the mountains and the lakes hosted an equal number of overseas visitors.
