IELTS Writing Task 1: Cách Đa Dạng Diễn Đạt Cho Dạng Bài Bar Chart
Khi viết bài Writing task 1, hầu hết các bạn học viên đều chú trọng nhiều đến ngữ pháp và cách diễn đạt số liệu sao cho đúng nhưng chưa chú tâm nhiều đến việc đa dạng cách diễn đạt. Trong bài viết này, IPP sẽ hướng dẫn các bạn làm tốt hơn trong phần điễn đạt của IELTS Writing Task 1, để bạn được band điểm cao hơn nhé!
IELTS WRITING TASK 1: CÁCH ĐA DẠNG DIỄN ĐẠT CHO DẠNG BÀI BAR CHART
Khi đa dạng cách diễn đạt, bạn sẽ tăng số điểm cho tiêu chí Lexical resources theo như trong IELTS Writing task 1 band descriptors:
- A wide range of vocabulary is used accurately and appropriately
- Flexibility and precise use are widely evident
Vì vậy, cách dễ nhất để đa dạng diễn đạt là sử dụng các chủ ngữ khác nhau cho mỗi câu.
CÁCH 1: Sử dụng tên của category để làm chủ ngữ
Đối với bài bar chart này, category chính là các ngày trong 1 tuần.
Example: Friday records the highest ticket price, at $80.
CÁCH 2: Sử dụng hình thức so sánh để bắt đầu câu
Example: In comparison, the cheapest tickets are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, which cost roughly $35 to $40.
CÁCH 3: Sử dụng ‘A similar / reverse pattern’ để làm chủ ngữ
Example: A similar pattern can be observed in the second week, except for a slight decline in Monday’s flights to $50.

CÁCH 4: Sử dụng chủ ngữ chỉ người thực hiện hành động để làm chủ ngữ
Với bài bar chart dưới, vé tốn bao nhiêu tiền có nghĩa là người đi du lịch / đi máy bay phải trả bao nhiêu tiền => đa dạng cách diễn đạt
Example: Travellers pay $60 for their flights on Monday, which is nearly double that of midweek, at approximately $35.

Task 1: The charts below give information about the price of tickets on one airline between Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, over a two-week period in 2013.
The bar charts compare the price of roundtrip airfare between Sydney and Melbourne in two weeks in 2013. Overall, there is a considerable disparity in flight prices between two destinations, as travelling at the weekend is far more expensive than on weekdays.
Regarding flights departing from Sydney to Melbourne, in the first week, flights on Monday incur the highest expenses, at $80 for a one-way journey. In comparison, the cheapest tickets are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, which cost roughly $35 to $40 before a surge to $75, $70, and $50 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday respectively. A similar pattern can be observed in the second week, except for a slight decline in Monday’s flights to $50.
Concerning journeys from Melbourne to Sydney, in the first week, travellers pay $60 for their flights on Monday, which is nearly double that of midweek, at approximately $35. Friday records the highest ticket price, at $80 while flights at the weekend are also costly, at $60 and $50. In the second week, the price on Monday plunges to $40 and it is also more affordable to travel at the weekend, with figures ranging from $50 to $60.
