In the contemporary world, the distribution of national capital has given rise to heated controversies, in which some people assume that governmental funding should be allocated to the arts, whereas others argue that healthcare and education should be given more financial resource. The following essay elaborates on both viewpoints before expressing my personal perspective on this contentious matter.

On the one hand, the belief that artistic values of a country should be more heavily funded is justifiable to a certain extent. In cultural terms, arts promotion plays a crucial role in fostering national identity. Since classic artworks such as drawings, sculpture or literature represent the history, traditions, and craftsmanship of a particular era, they act as a primary factor conducive to a country’s uniqueness and distinctive characters. Hence, promoting the arts can cultivate a sense of pride and appreciation among citizens given its historical and symbolic significance. In economic terms, a strong arts sector can be a precious asset for a nation. By enhancing the national image via the arts, governments could stimulate business activity, attract tourism and expand labor workforce, thereby reinforcing economic prosperity. 

On the other hand, it is also reasonable to state that the investment into such sectors as health and education is more desirable. Indisputably, a healthy labor workforce is of pivotal importance to a country’s effective operation in any industry owing to its contribution to increased productivity and work outcomes. Therefore, it is advisable to allocate more money to national health systems so as to withstand potential health hazards namely COVID-19 and stimulate public immunity. Additionally, in the current intellect-driven economy, education should also be generously funded by governmental authorities. Indeed, education is a catalyst for human capital development as it helps train a competent, highly qualified labor force to reduce the burden of unemployment and welfare dependency.

On balance, advocates of both standpoints irrefutably have sound arguments for their convictions. Nonetheless, I would personally contend that governmental investment should be equally directed to the arts, healthcare and education for the sake of the citizenry’s both physical, mental and intellectual well-being.

1. Task Response: Bài làm cần phải đáp ứng đầy đủ và chính xác tất cả các vấn đề được đặt ra trong đề bài.

3. Lexical Resources: Bài viết cần đảm bảo sự chính xác và đa dạng trong việc sử dụng từ vựng. Thí sinh nên linh hoạt trong việc sử dụng các cụm từ đồng nghĩa và đưa vào bài viết một cách khéo léo những từ vựng không phổ biến để nâng cao chất lượng bài làm.
