- Body par 03 – One drawback: việc trẻ em sử dụng công nghệ quá nhiều trong thời gian rảnh rỗi có thể dẫn đến nhiều hệ quả về sức khỏe: hạn chế tham gia các trò chơi ngoài trời và tập thể dục thường xuyên => lối sống lười vân động và sức khỏe tinh thần kém

Easy access to technological devices has prompted children to utilize such tools in their leisure time rather than opting for traditional outdoor games. I personally believe that the benefits of such an inevitable trend can eclipse any drawback.
One benefit is related to chances for technology-based learning in children’s leisure time. Specifically, in the current digitalized era, the young can enhance their information acquisition effectively and quickly; as a result, they can explore various fields in a more engaging and immersive manner during their leisure time. Therefore, this can instill self-learning ability in the young and contribute to their knowledge enrichment in the long run.
Another major advantage is related to the capacity of modern technology in supporting children’ development of skills in their leisure time. Without guidance from a teacher, there is a large selection of online educational applications and games that can assist kids in fostering different social and cognitive skills. For example, online strategic games can help the young develop their critical thinking, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving abilities through engaging in group competition or completing challenges.
However, there is a serious health drawback stemming from children’s excessive use of technology during their free time. To be more specific, sitting for hours in front of the screen can cause numerous health problems, namely obesity and short-sightedness. This trend would also deprive them of chances to engage in outdoor games and frequent exercise to keep fit, leading to their sedentary lifestyles and poor mental wellbeing.
In conclusion, the use of technology in free time can enable children to benefit from chances to enrich their knowledge and develop various skills, all of which should be weightier than any health drawback. However, such a downside can be mitigated if children are supervised and guided by their parents to avoid addiction and minimize unwanted impacts.
