[What] One book that I have read many times is “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. The book explores themes of racism, injustice, and the power of empathy.

[How] Every time I read this book, I am struck by its timeless relevance and deep insights into the human condition. The characters are vividly drawn and feel like real people, with flaws and complexities that make them relatable and memorable. The language is rich and evocative, painting a vivid picture of the setting and the emotions of the characters.

1. What kinds of books do children like to read? Why? 

[lead-in] In my experience, children enjoy books that have engaging characters and imaginative stories.

[explain] Picture books, fairy tales, and adventure stories are particularly popular. These books capture their imagination and transport them to different worlds where anything is possible. Kids also love books that are interactive, such as pop-up books or ones with hidden surprises. As the saying goes, “You can’t judge a book by its cover,” but for children, a colorful and eye-catching cover can be the deciding factor in whether or not they pick up a book.

Additionally, printed books can be shared with others and kept as cherished possessions. As the saying goes, “old habits die hard,” and for many readers in Vietnam, the tradition of reading physical books remains strong. However, as technology advances and e-books become more accessible, this trend may shift in the future.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s more important than ever to make time for reading and to develop this beneficial habit.
