Các chiến thuật viết câu trong IELTS Writing

Chiến thuật IELTS Writing 1 – Danh từ hóa (Nominalization)

Model 1: Danh từ hóa đặc biện hiệu quả vì nó sẽ giúp bạn ĐA DẠNG HÓA câu viết bằng cách thay đổi các cụm động từ / tính từ thành cụm danh từ.

Ví dụ:

House prices are rising rapidly. As a result, first-time buyers are having difficulty buying a house. ⇒ Due to the rapid increase in house prices, first-time buyers are having difficulty buying a house.
Because people hunt tigers in large numbers, they are facing a high risk of extinction.⇒ Because of humans’ overhunting tigers, they are facing a high risk of extinction.

Model 2: Sử dụng nhiều cụm danh từ, cụm bổ nghĩa (modifiers), và tính từ để diễn đạt thêm ý tưởng. Nhưng lại đòi hỏi các bạn phải có nguồn từ vựng tốt và câu viết thật súc tích, ngắn gọn.

Thay vì: There is a wide range of cultures in Europe makes it a special destination. ⇒ The multicultural nature of Europe makes it a special destination.
Thay vì: It is very beneficial for people to apply new technology in education. ⇒ The introduction of this new technology into education is very positive.
Thay vì: Films which are produced in the local count often have much smaller budgets. ⇒ Locally produced films often have much smaller budgets.
Thay vì: Technology companies like Google are able to employ the best programs. This is because they are willing to pay huge sums of money. ⇒ Technology companies like Google are able to employ the best programs because they are willing to pay.

Chiến thuật IELTS Writing 2 – Dùng “ever” – whatever / whoever / wherever / whichever

“ever” nằm ở cuối của một từ ⇒ nó sẽ thêm nghĩa của “any” hoặc “every” cho từ đó.
“ever” nằm ở cuối của một từ ⇒ bạn sẽ thêm nghĩa của “any” hoặc “every” cho nghĩa ban đầu của từ đó.

WHATEVER

You can do whatever you want now that you have finished your homework.
He did whatever he could to pass his class, but he still failed because the class was just too hard for him.

WHENEVER (TIME) = anytime

He asks me for money whenever he sees me.
Whenever I enter the class, I find my students studying.

WHEREVER (PLACE) = anywhere or everywhere

The disciples followed Jesus wherever he went. You can keep it wherever you want as long as it is safe.

WHOEVER (PERSON) = anybody or everybody

Whoever scratched my car like this should have at least left a note.
Whoever told you that was wrong. (was wrong = main verb)

WHICHEVER (OPTION) = any out of a specific group

Buy whichever you like and I will pay for it.
Whichever hotel you stay in, I am sure you are going to enjoy Las Vegas.

HOWEVER (IN WHICH WAY) = whichever way

You can’t just act however you want, you must be professional.
However you like your steak, just tell them and they will cook it for you.
