III. Áp dụng từ vựng Difficult times vào IELTS Speaking Part 2

Describe a difficult thing that you would like to succeed.

You should say:

  • What it is
  • Why it is difficult
  • How you would like to prepare for it
  • And explain why you would like to be successful in doing it.

I think we’ve all gone through some ups and downs in our life at some point. The challenging task that I overcame was being accepted to my ideal institution, to think of it.

There were a number of teething issues at first. I believed that spending all of my free time cramming for the standardized exams would help me attain my target score, allowing me to best prepare myself for the demanding application season. I worked for eight hours and then studied all night. But I was unaware that was my pitfall. Contrary to my expectations, because of the lack of sleep, which even made me more stressed, most of what I had learned frequently just went into one ear and out the other. I began to fear that I might not have been able to realize my goal. I believed that this was my dead end, but I told myself to become stronger and more resolve to get out of the quandary.

I have learned how to effectively organize my time to lessen the stress of a heavy assignment; for instance, I spent the whole morning reviewing my vocabulary and verbal reasoning tests. I had no option but to ace the tests because they were necessary for the application procedure and would boost my profile. Imagine that if I failed it, I would no longer be able to apply, which would be a setback for my academic development. So, I’m hoping that a combination of my diligence and a little bit of luck will enable me to successfully overcome this tough hurdle.
