The first one that came to my mind is the cross-country road trip I had with my family last year

[STORY]

[what] It was an idea that sparked into my mind when I was in the eighth grade but only came into reality when my whole family had some free time //

[when] It happened at the beginning at my summer vacation when both my parents decided to call it a day for a while and take me on a long-haul vacation//

[how] we were travelling by car and started off in the southern area of Vietnam, heading to the north. We went through different provinces and tried different types of specialty. We also had a wonderful experience while travelling through mountainous areas watching animals and terrains //

[who] However, it was the bonding between me and my parents that was the best experience for me. We got to talk to each other more and see eye to eye on different issues that we were arguing about

1. What benefits does public transport bring to the world? 

[Lead-in] Two most noticeable upsides are the environmental benefit and reducing traffic jam

[Explain] Public transportation such as busses or trains can transport a larger number of passengers without putting out as much exhumes as cars and taxis → contribute less to air pollution // reduce space required for travelling on main roads → help eliminate traffic jam in big cities

2. Is it too late for people to get their driver’s license at the age of 18?

[Lead-in] I believe it is biologically appropriate to get the driver’s license at the age of 18

[Explain] Controlling a fast-moving vehicle requires a certain level of physical strength and agility // any mistake can lead to dangerous accidents // long- enough reach for the breaks and the ability to deal with different situations on the road // take responsibility in the case of an accident // intelligent enough to understand and follow traffic rules

3. What qualities does a driver need to have?

[Lead-in] I believe a driver needs to possess the ability to focus and the willingness to obey traffic rules

[Explain] One of the things to absolutely avoid during travel is traffic accidents which have taken the lives of so many people. Two main culprits are distractions and the disregard of safety regulations. Careless drivers are a recipe for disaster. Furthermore, drivers with the two aforementioned qualities will contribute to a safer and more civilized driving environment

4. Do you think the government should make it a rule for people to use public transport?

[Lead-in] Despite its certain advantages, I believe it would not be advisable to make it a rule to use public transportation

[Explain] Not be able to cater for different purposes of travelling → public transportation is perfect for fixed routes between places such as university campus >< private vehicles are also needed for personal travels such as family road trip or travelling for shopping // Private vehicles gain the upper hand over public transportation in terms of comfort and personal space → not having to share seats with stranger/ enjoy custom-made gadgets/

5. Which jobs require people to be good at driving?

[Lead-in] It’s fairly obvious that jobs such as bus driver/truck driver requires a level of mastery in driving

[Explain] Contrary to the usual driver, a single mistake of a bus or coach driver can cost the lives of dozens of people, likewise, trucks and lorries are heavy vehicles that can cause extreme damage if not carefully controlled → excellent driving skill is a must

6. Do you see driverless cars as the future of cars?

[Lead-in] In fact, the driverless feature has already been incorporated in newer car models and I believe this feature will witness a rise in popularity in the near future

[Explain] Two main advantages: convenience and safety// buy people more time during long travels → utilize that time for entertainment/work/or simply having conversations with your beloved // driverless car are programmed to drive in the safest and most efficient way possible → reduce travelling time/accident rate to almost zero → will be the norm in the coming years
